How does the "Values Represent" setting work when creating foods?

When creating a custom food, you'll see the "Values Represent" setting in the Nutrients section.

For users inside the United States, you'll likely want to just keep the default setting of "Serving Size".

For users elsewhere in the world where nutrition labels are based on 100g or 100ml amounts, you likely will want to use the "100g" or "100ml" setting, depending on the product. Choose the amount that corresponds to the nutrition amounts displayed on the label.

When 100g or 100ml is selected, you can still enter a separate serving size amount in the Serving Size and Serving Metric fields. When you log this food, you will be able to select between the serving size and other common units, like 100g or 1g. Foodnoms will scale the nutrition amounts accordingly.
